Arrival Experience

Arriving at Curtain Bluff in Antigua was a breath of fresh air after a rather tiring 5 hour delay at JFK, courtesy of an unnamed airline. While our travel day had its challenges, the hotel’s warm welcome was a refreshing contrast. From the seamless airport VIP meet and greet service to the dedicated staff at the reception desk, we were enveloped in the true essence of Curtain Bluff hospitality. Once in our private transfer to the hotel, our driver’s phone lit up with a call from the hotel inquiring about our dinner preferences. Within moments of checking into our room, our meal, ordered over the phone, was expertly delivered, ensuring that our arrival was not only smooth but also indulgently delicious.

An All-Inclusive for Foodies

Food isn’t just about filling your belly; it’s about bringing folks together, whether they’re family or strangers. And let’s face it, a good meal can make or break your hotel stay or vacation experience, right?

Curtain Bluff recently joined the cool kids’ club – the Relais and Chateaux collection. They definitely had to bring their A-game to earn that badge, especially in the food department. Their head chef, a French culinary wizard with 20 years under his belt, keeps things exciting with daily menu changes. From savory lamb dishes to perfectly grilled lobster, you’re in for a treat!

Worried about getting stuck with boring drinks or watered-down cocktails? Not a chance at Curtain Bluff. Take my word for it, you’ll be raising your glass to some seriously good sips at this place.

No Bad Views

All 72 rooms have an ocean view.  Even their entry level rooms are beachfront.  Our recommendation?  The Ground Floor Junior Suite.  Recently renovated in 2021, spacious and you can walk right out onto the sand.  Need rooms to connect?  The amazing reservations team can confirm connecting rooms at time of booking, if available.

If you are looking for more privacy, set your eyes on the rooms located on the bluff.  There are only 12 of them and they are sure to give you more exclusivity without lacking stunning views. 

Tip:  If booking rooms located along Grace Bay Beach, be sure to request a room away from the restaurant.  Each night they have live entertainment as late at 11pm.

Fun in the Sun

If you’re all about that active lifestyle and can’t get enough of the water, Curtain Bluff is your dream come true. From kayaking and yoga to snorkeling trips to Cade’s Reef (twice a day!) and windsurfing, there’s no shortage of fun in the sun here. Plus, let’s not forget about their pickleball and tennis courts – game on!

While most of these awesome activities are included in the all-inclusive package, there’s even more to dive into (pun intended) at an extra cost. Fancy some tennis lessons, scuba diving adventures, or maybe a deep-sea fishing excursion? And for those looking to upgrade their culinary skills or enjoy a good glass of wine, they’ve got you covered with cooking classes and wine tastings.

This resort is also home to two tennis tournaments each year:  Antigua Tennis Week in May and Tennis Challenge in November. 

Kids Club

Their kids’ club, CeeBee, couldn’t be more conveniently placed – just a hop, skip, and jump from the sandy shores. This open-air haven is complemented by a little playground where kids can let loose and have a blast. And let me tell you, their activity lineup is no joke – think arts and crafts, fishing adventures, beach treasure hunts, cookie decorating sessions, and cozy movie nights under the stars.

If you’re in need of some downtime or a quiet dinner for two, Curtain Bluff has you covered with their babysitting services. We told the reception team what our needs were, and they perfectly matched us with Fatima.  Our experience with Fatima was nothing short of amazing. She’s a gem – patient, kind, and always armed with toys and games to keep our little one entertained day in and day out. Trust me, your kiddo will be in good hands with her!

Me Time

The spa at Curtain Bluff was a total highlight of our trip. My husband snuck off for his treatment before me; when he came back, he played it cool to keep me in suspense. Tucked by the water and close to the adults-only pool, the spa exudes tranquility. Stepping into my treatment room with an ocean view was like being serenaded by nature – the waves, birds, and breeze created a zen-like atmosphere that was truly unique.
